My Favorite Things–Wednesday Sketch #359!

Hello Friends!

MFT_SketchChallenge_2017Logo

It’s time for another Wednesday Sketch Challenge from the great folks at My Favorite Things! And it’s a doozie of a sketch, friends!  If your mojo isn’t inspired by this sketch, well then I just don’t know what to tell you!  Because this made my head explode!  Here’s the sketch:

And here’s what I came up with!

KKL_WSC359-11-8-17

Yes, you guessed it . . . another holiday card!  This one was super easy and fun to create!  I trimmed a piece of 4.25” x 5.5” piece of Masking Material and die cut it with one of the tag dies from the Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-Namics.  I adhered the negative of the mask to an A2 Smooth White card base, and blended some Twisted Citron and Salty Ocean distress inks with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I carefully removed the mask.  Then I trimmed an A2 panel of Smooth White Card Stock and die it using the same tag die from the Tag Builder Blueprints 6 Die-Namics, and removed the positive die cut.  I cut it a third time from some Silver Sparkle Card Stock and placed that die cut into the opening on the image panel using some scotch tape on the back to hold it in place.  I die cut the image panel with the A2 Stitched Rectangle Die-Namics Set 1, and then adhered it to the card base with foam squares.  I strung some silver cord (that I had in my stash) through the hole of the tag and around the top of the image panel and died it into a bow at the top of the tag.  I adhered a panel of acetate behind the die cut with 1/8” Scor-Tape.  Then I die cut one of the Ornamental Medallion Trio Die-Namics from more of the Silver Sparkle Card Stock and adhered it to the acetate. I stamped the sentiment from the Snow Globe Sentiments Stamp Set onto some Smooth White Card Stock using VersaMark and heat embossed it with Silver Glitter Embossing Powder.  I die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Sentiment Strips Die-Namics and adhered it to the image panel using foam squaresSparkling Clear Sequins were adhered with Multi Medium Matte.

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other amazing projects that my teammates have created for you using WSC359!  And while you’re there, be sure and link up your own take on the sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher from My Favorite Things! We’d love to see what you create!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’ll be back again very soon with more crafty goodness!  Until then, thanks so much for stopping by! It’s truly the highlight of my day!
