My Favorite Things -- WSC363!

Hello again!

I told you I’d be back soon with more crafty goodness, and I’ve kept my promise!  I’m super crazy busy, but I wanted to pop in quickly to share this week’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge!  It’s a super versatile sketch, that I think you’re really going to like!!

It’s a good one for those Clean and Simple lovers out there!  Here’s my interpretation!

That Scenic Snow Globe Die-Namics is so incredible versatile!  There are so many beautiful scenes that can be created, and I kinda feel like they don’t necessarily have to be holiday scenes!  Even though that’s what I created here today!  LOL  I used the Snow Globe Sentiments Stamp Set for the sentiment – that stamp set will be in my stash forever . . . mark my words!  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below!

Please click on through to the MFT Challenge Blog to be linked to the other brilliant takes on this week’s Wednesday Sketch!  And while you’re there, link up your own interpretation of this week’s sketch for your chance to win a $50 Gift Voucher from My Favorite Things! What do you have to lose?!

Okay, friends . . . that’s it for me today!  I’m still soooo busy with tons of little details before we head to Seattle for the holidays!  I’ll be back very, very soon with more crafty stuff!  Thanks for stopping by – I can’t imagine my crafty life without you all!  Have a great day!

My Favorite Things -- Release Replay!!

Hello friends!

The My Favorite Things Design Team is taking a fresh look at the December Release and coming up with more craft inspiration for you all!!  My project features the new Painted Flowers Stamp Set.  I am sooo in love with the beautiful multi-step flowers that are included in this stamp set!  You can stamp as many or as few layers of the images that you like, and get a different result every single time – which is sooo fun!

I stamped out three of the flower images from the Painted Flowers Stamp Set using two of the four layer images.  With the notched edge on the stamps and coordinating dies, it’s SUPER easy to align the layers and figure out how the dies fit!  I just love that about the Smart Align feature of these stamps and dies!  Another fun thing that I did to create this card is I die cut the curved stitched edge of the Smooth White image panel using the Stitched Basic Edges Die-Namics, and then I die cut another piece of Smooth White Card Stock using the Stitched Scallop Edges Die-Namics, leaving a pretty narrow margin above the scalloped edge with my trimmer.  I then used my scissors to snip the straight edge of the die cut at the tips of each scallop.  This allows the strip to be curved to fit the curve of the image panel.  I adhered the scalloped strip to the curved edge of the image panel with some Scor-Tape.  I love the softness that the scalloped edge adds to those ethereal flowers.  I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below.

Please click on through to the MFT Design Blog to be linked to the other great projects that my teammates have created for your inspiration using the December Release!

That’s it for me today, friends!  I’m scurrying around like a madwoman in anticipation of heading to Seattle for the holidays with our kids on Friday!  I cannot wait!  I’ll be back again soon with more crafty goodness to share!  I hope you’ll come back to visit again soon!

Today’s sponsor is Pretty Pink Posh!  I’m so very lucky to call the owner of Pretty Pink Posh, Paulina, a friend.  She’s one of the hardest working and most generous ladies in our industry, and I’m so incredibly proud of the amazing company that she’s created!  I had so much fun playing with some of her newly released holiday products – Merry Christmas Script Dies, Festive Holly Dies, and the Holiday Greetings Stamp Set!  I was also able to include one of my most favorite Pretty Pink Posh products – the Stitched Banner Duo 2!

I ink blended some Peacock Feathers and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide Inks onto some Bristol Card Stock, and die cut the Festive Holly Dies and the word Merry from the ink blended panel.  Then I blended some Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple Distress Oxide Inks onto more Bristol Card Stock, and die cut the Festive Holly Dies and the word Christmas from that panel.  I die cut the Merry Christmas dies three more times from white cardstock, and adhered the layers together with a glue pen.  I added the ink blended word die cuts on the top layer.  I die cut the Stitched Banner Duo 2 Die from some Neenah Solar White 110# Card Stock.  I adhered a strip of black and white striped patterned paper to an A2 white card base.  Then I trimmed another panel from more white cardstock and applied some Texture Paste and sprinkled some Warm Diamond Glitter while it was still wet to give it some sparkle!  I assembled the pieces using foam squares.  Finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Holiday Greetings Stamp Set onto some black card stock using some white pigment ink, and heat embossed it with some white embossing powder.  I trimmed it into a thin strip and adhered it to the word die cuts. I’ve listed and linked all of the products that I used below!
